"Education that leaves an Impression".

Our Founder

My name is Folakemi Rachel George, and I am an experienced educator deeply committed to fostering excellence in teaching and learning. With a proven track record of instructional leadership, a passion for student success, and a dedication to continuous improvement, I strive to make a meaningful impact in the educational field.

My ethos as a classroom practitioner aligns with the principles of “Every Child Matters” (September 2003), aiming to ensure that every child has the chance to fulfil their potential by reducing levels of educational failure, ill health, abuse and neglect, crime, and anti-social behaviour among children and young people.

I am highly motivated, hard-working, and passionate about teaching and learning. I am always keen to identify and implement strategies to enhance and support students’ personal development, promoting the development of skills, knowledge, and experiences that complement the academic curriculum. I am an active member of the Chartered College of Teaching (Teaching Research Champion) and the UK Literacy Association (UKLA).

Our Approach

In our classroom practice, our main priority is to understand the whole child, considering their physical, social, educational, emotional, spiritual, and psychological development. We apply the Getting it Right for Every Child (GIRFEC) approach in my day-to-day planning, teaching, and leadership, helping every child and young person in my care to grow, develop, and reach their potential. The well-being of every child and young person is at the heart of our daily planning. We keep their differences in mind when planning and producing resources, ensuring that they are not only accessible but also challenging and relevant. We are interested in developing our subject knowledge and minimising barriers to learning in our classroom.

Our Objectives

Our main objectives are to identify and plan for pupils’ needs. We use regular formative assessment to set targets and follow robust quality assessment, monitoring, and tracking processes to determine individual needs. We are aware of our responsibilities as a classroom practitioner to ensure that necessary staged intervention is followed when a factor hindering learning is identified. We contribute to strategies coordinated by appropriate staff members to support a positive outcome for individual pupils. We have a good rapport with pupils and have created a positive ethos within our classroom, with high expectations for behaviour and attainment. We make excellent use of positive discipline strategies to promote good behaviour. Our lesson delivery is based on the pedagogical philosophy of taking a first-hand and enthusiastic approach to teaching and creating a learning environment characterised by empathy, mutual support, and inclusion of all pupils.
